Published in 1991, “Demon Child” was the beginning story that spawned “The Twelve Kingdoms.” So, following the series’ whopping sales total of 7,500,000 copies, as this anticipated new work is completed, the entirety of “The Twelve Kingdoms” will be released sequentially in paperback. 3. Akihiro Yamada has not only drawn the cover for this new volume, but also 5 illustrations throughout the book!
